Cappadacia, Turkey (56 BC-21 AD).
Datça was founded on the historical and cultural
wealth of Knidos, one of the most significant
ports of its era, is one of the indispensible
places of the ancient Anatolian civilisations.
Doric people, Persians, people from Athens and
Rome, people from “germiyanoğulları” and finally
Otoman Empire contributed to Datça’s historical
accumulation. Datça is at the Southwest of
Anatolia between Gökova and Hisarönü bays. It is
a paradise, where the mediterranean and aegean
regions meet, with its beautiful coves and
beaches, its sparkling clean sea, its old
history, its unspoilt nature, its rich flora and
fauna, its having abundant oxygen, low humidity
and sunny weather throughout 300 days of one
year. There are accounts, recorded in history,
which reveals that the weather of Datça
peninsula cure people. What a wonderful place it
is! Many poems and songs were written about it.
This small city became the master of poets,
artists and Datça is said to be lived rather
